Slovenian Archers and Shooters Are the Medallists of the Mediterranean Games
Slovenian archers and shooters successfully perform at the Mediterranean Games in Tarragona, Spain. They have already received 4 medals: 2 silver medals (archers), 1 silver and 1 bronze medals (shooters).
Silver medals were presented to Gašper Štrajhar, Den Malavašič Habjan and Rok Bizjak (team classification), who lost to the French in the finals with a score of 5:3. Gašper Štrajhar received silver medal in the individual all-around event. In the finals, the Slovenian archer gave way to Metej Gazoz. Živa Dvoršak (pneumatic rifle) won bronze among the shooters. It is also worth noting the success of the Slovenian canoeist Ani Osterman, who won bronze in a still water sprint at a distance of 500 metres. The competition of canoeists and kayakers took place in Castelldefels, Catalonia.
The eighteenth Mediterranean Games started in the south of Catalonia on Friday, 22 June 2018. The first medals for Slovenia were won on Saturday by a shooter Kevin Venta (silver), karateka Tjaša Ristič (gold), karateka Lina Pušnik (bronze), and swimmers Tjaša Oder (800 m freestyle; bronze) and Neža Klančar (100 m freestyle; bronze).
