Slovenian Athlete Becomes the World’s SUP Rowing Champion
Manca Notar brings the gold medal to Slovenia. The girl won the World Rowing Championships on a standing board held in Copenhagen. Participating at a distance of 200 metres (sprint), the 21-year-old native of Škofja Loka confidently got ahead of her rivals – the Frenchwoman Amandine Chazot and the American Jade Howson.
Manca Notar is one of the best SUP board rowers in the world. She was considered the favourite of the competition. At the World Championships held in the Republic of Fiji in 2016, she won a bronze medal.
In Copenhagen, the native of Škofja Loka also performed at a distance of 20 kilometres, coming tenth to the finish.
