Slovenian canoeists and kayakers perform successfully at the World Cup stages. Kayaker Vid Debeljak won a sprint at the final stage of the World Cup in white-water rafting in Celje. Second place with a 0.42 seconds gap was taken by Nejc Žnidarčič. The third is the German Yannic Lemmen. Another Slovenian rower Anže Urankar became the fourth (with a lag of 0.01 seconds), Tim Novak became the eighth, Simon Oven became the eleventh, and Maks Frančeškin became the fourteenth. This was reported by the Kayaking Federation of Slovenia.
In the overall standings of the World Cup, Simon Oven took the first place among the kayakers, Anže Urankar took the second place, and Vid Debeljak took the third place.
Among the canoeists, Blaž Cof took the second place in the World Cup’s overall standings.
It is worth noting that the kayaker Vid Debeljak is the world’s vice-champion and the European champion in water sports in the white-water rafting category.
