Slovenian cyclist Becomes Vice-champion of the World

In the time trial at the World Championships 2107 in Bergen (Norway), the Dutchman Tom Dumoulin was the only one to get ahead of Primož Roglič. The gap was 57 seconds.

On the podium, the Slovenian was also accompanied by the winner of other famous bicycle races Chris Froome.

Andrej Hauptman, the bronze winner of the road race in 2001 in Lisbon, sat in the car following Roglič.

The championships was organized in 1984 by the International Union of Cyclists (UCI). For the first time, the competition ended at the top of the mountain. This fact attracted more viewers. According to local media, the mountain was literally “thundering.”

Primož Roglič was one of the few who decided to replace the special wheel with the classic one before going up the mountain. The escort team was on the fly to replace the wheel quickly. Therefore, Roglič quickly recovered the lost seconds.
