Slovenian Handball Player Uroš Zorman within the Polish Team “Vive Tauron Kielce” Won the Champions League

The “Vive Tauron Kielce” team handball players are the winners of the Champions League.

Cologne. In a tense final match of the final tournament in Cologne, the Polish team with the Slovenian handball player Uroš Zorman as its member defeated the Hungarian “Veszprem” guided by Gašper Marguč according to the results of a series of seven-metre strokes with a total score of 39:38. The regulation game ended with the score of 29:29 (13:17) and the overtime — 35:35.

For Uroš Zorman this is already the fourth title of the European Champions League winner, while Gašper Marguč missed an opportunity to win the first one.

The Hungarian team “Veszprem” also missed an opportunity to win a trophy. This is already the third lost final for this team. During the second game period, the Hungarians were ahead of the meeting with a difference in nine goals, but lost this superiority. The Poles also celebrated success in their first final of the Handball Champions League.

The handball players of the French team PSG won the third place. They beat the German “Kiel” with a score of 29:27 (15:11) during the “small” finals.

The Polish team defeated the “Paris-Saint-Germain” (28:26), and “Veszprem” beat “Kiel” in the overtime (31:28) during the Saturday’s semi-finals.
