Slovenian Logisticians in Osaka and Tokyo

Promotion of transport and logistics services rendered by Slovenian companies and of a sea route from Japan to Europe via the port of Koper.

Ljubljana — This week, a delegation of sixteen representatives from the nine Slovenian logistics companies and the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia have visited Japan together with their Japanese colleagues. In Osaka and Tokyo, the delegation participated in two business conferences and held bilateral meetings (B2B) with the partners that are already working in the European market or are just getting ready for this. The representatives of Slovenian companies also visited the port in Osaka and a large container terminal JR Cargo Hazawa Station in Tokyo.

The delegation included representatives from such companies as Adria Kombi, Europacific, Logistika, Fining, Interservice, Luke Koper, Pošte Slovenije, TPG Logistika, Trade Logistics, and the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia. The latter also acted as the organizer of the visit in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of Slovenia, the Spirit State Agency, and the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Tokyo.

According to the Director of the Transport Association at the Chamber of Commerce, Robert North, the purpose of this visit was to promote the best, most suitable and competitive sea route from Japan via the port of Koper to the Central and South-Eastern Europe and to the Western Balkans markets. At the same time, the visit contributed to advertising the transport and logistics services rendered by Slovenian companies.

This has been already the 27th guest delegation of Slovenian logisticians over the past few years. Its representatives presented themselves in the overseas markets of Malaysia, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, India, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Today, the delegation finishes its visit in Tokyo.
