Slovenian Schoolchildren Win Gold and Bronze Medals at the International Olympiad in Biology

Slovene Aljaž Simonič (Second Maribor Gymnasium) won the gold medal at the 30th International Olympiad in Biology. This was reported by the Union of Technical Culture of Slovenia.

Bor Krajnik (Škofja Loka Gymnasium) was also successful and won a bronze medal. Leon Rojk Štupar (First Celje Gymnasium) and Sebastjan Kordiš (Škofja Loka Gymnasium) received merit certificates.

It should be added that the International Olympiad in Biology was held from 14 July to 21 July 2019 in Szeged (Hungary). The Olympiad was attended by 270 students from 70 countries.
