Slovenian Students Win the Highest Award at the International Genius Olympiad in the USA

The UniBill team from the Secondary School of Electronics and the Technical Gymnasium of Novo Mesto won the Grand Award at the international Genius Olympiad in the USA with the idea of a cloud-based payment service. The team consisting of Žiga Povhe, Anže Kocjančič, Nikita Galuh Kapušin and Jaka Kordiš (mentors – Danijela Erenda and Roman Kapš) became the absolute winner in the Business category. It took students six months to develop the idea.

According to the young developers, UniBill is an environmentally oriented solution of the digital age and an alternative to paper bills. They explain that their solution takes the shopping process to a higher level and is a system that provides users with a convenient application for safe storage and access to cloud accounts, as well as a review of consumer habits and expenditures.

It should be added that in April 2019, the UniBill team already won the national competition for the best business ideas of the Popri youth and thus were awarded the participation in the prestigious international competition in New York.
