Soča Trout in Buckwheat or Corn Flour
Ingredients for 4 portions:
- 4 trout (medium size),
- 8 tbsp. corn (or buckwheat) flour,
- 4 pinches salt,
- 0.5 mL sunflower oil or butter,
- 1 lemon.
Scale trout. After cleaning, rinse it and pat it dry with a paper towel. You can rinse it inside and out with saltwater (to taste).
Put the corn (or buckwheat) flour in a separate bowl and dredge the fish.
Preheat a frying pan and add oil. Put trout into the preheated oil. Fry the fish over moderate heat for 20 minutes, turning it over from time to time so that it is well fried on both sides. Put the fried trout on a dish, sprinkle with lemon juice and serve to the table.
