Students Are Invited to Participate in Hackathon on Social Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship

The Community of Slovenian Municipalities, the Institute of Economics (Maribor) and the Prisma Foundation invite students to participate in the hackathon called Be Social, Be Maker: Training for Future Generations of Social Innovators as part of the Social (i) Makers project. The event will take place at the Polygon Creative Centre, 5 Tobačna Street, Ljubljana on Wednesday, 18 September 2019, from 09:30 a.m. to 03:30 p.m. Participation in the event is free of charge.

In the introductory part of the hackathon, experts will cover the topics of youth empowerment, social innovation and social entrepreneurship, and then participants will look for innovative solutions through group work.

With the developed solutions, students will later be able to participate in the international competition Be Social, Be Maker and compete for a cash prize of 5,000 euros for the development and implementation of the proposed solution.
