Students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation and Architecture of the University of Maribor Are Invited to Participate in an Innovative Project

Students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation and Architecture of the University of Maribor are invited to participate in an innovative project – Designing the Logistics Arrangement of Vonar Lake Using Remote Sensing Techniques.

The project is implemented as part of the state programme – Project Work with Non-economic and Non-profit Sector – Student Innovative Socially Useful Projects 2016–2020. One student from the Transport Engineering Bachelor’s degree programme and one student from the Architecture Bachelor’s degree programme are invited to participate in the project.

The project for logistics arrangement involves the intensive use of remote sensing methodology. We are talking about the collection, fixation, interpretation and use of images obtained with the help of drones, airplanes and satellites. Today, the use of such records is important for obtaining valuable information in order to increase productivity and protect the environment.

Mentors-educators:

  1. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marjan Lep (Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation and Architecture, University of Maribor),
  2. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Klemen Prah (Faculty of Logistics, University of Maribor).

Professional staff:

  1. Sašo Meško (Društvo Quadcopter Slo),
  2. Master Vesna Zagoda Peperko (Fontus, d.o.o.).
