Students from the University of Ljubljana Take Third Place at Ecotrophelia Evropa 2017

The team included students from the Faculty of Biotechnology and the Faculty of Economics Sabina Vrecl, Neža Miklavič, Gregor Sok, Nina Ogorevc and Lea Prelovšek. Prof. Dr. Aleš Kuhar, a member of the Animal Science Department of the Faculty of Biotechnology, acted as their mentor.

In tough competition with students from 16 European countries, representatives of the University of Ljubljana occupied the 3rd place by presenting their innovative product “On My Whey”. The sour milk product consists of eco-friendly whey, millet, and elderberry. There are three fillers to choose from: blueberries, forest berries and raspberries.

All ingredients are eco-friendly and produced in Slovenian. “On My Whey” is included into the category of snacks and has a high nutritional value. Partner companies of the product authors, who prepared its presentation in London, also left a positive feedback about the quality.
