Students of the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana Win the International Competition in Paris
Students of the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana (UL PF) Jana Šteblaj and Tjaša Sever, led by Professor Dr. Vasilka Sancin, won the first place at the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court Competition. The Slovenes showed excellent knowledge of the international public and investment laws as well as the international investment arbitration.
In total, 15 students of European universities participated in the competition. In the finals, Jana Šteblaj and Tjaša Sever defeated the hosts of the competition — the French team of the Sciences Po Faculty. The representatives of the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana, the participants of the last year’s competition, took part in the preparation of the Slovenian team. Besides, a special thanks goes to Tisja Ljubetič.
In the hot court battle, the students of the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana were ahead of the teams from the University of Luxembourg, the Johann-Wolfgang Goethe University of Frankfurt, the Faculty of Sciences Po, MGIMO (Moscow State University of International Relations), the Queen Mary University of London, the University of St. Gallen, the Paris-Saclay University, the Federal University of Amazonas, the Panthéon-Assas or Paris II University, the Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Catholic University of Lyon, the University College London, the University of Amsterdam, the Uppsala University, and the Jagiellonian University.
