Students of the Maribor University Tourism Faculty Visit Croatia Under Erasmus+ Exchange Programme

This May, a first-year student, Lara Cafuta, and a fourth-year student, Marko Lenarčič (both study at the Maribor University Tourism Faculty), took part in the Erasmus+ exchange programme “Mladi v akciji” and visited Rijeka (Croatia).

The topic of the youth exchange programme is “CultureCrash.” Its participants studied national minorities living in Rijeka, as well as their experience of intercultural cooperation at the local level. In addition, students got acquainted with the experience of the countries participating in the programme as well as ways to overcome stereotypes and form a tolerant attitude to each other.

A total of 30 people took part in the youth exchange programme from Slovenia, Croatia, Lithuania, Greece and Serbia. The events took place in the Slovene house Bazovica in Rijeka.
