Successful Completion of the “Big Branding 2016: Znamke z Roba” Event

The Ministry of Economic Development and Technologies and the Department of Forest Management in collaboration with the University of Primorska and the Creative Centre for Woodworking at the premises of the SPIRIT Slovenija Organization arranged the “Znamke z Roba” event in the Design Centre in Ljubljana, on Thursday, 26 May 2016. During the event, the practices of successful sales of furniture brands in the South-East European countries were presented, which have recently managed to enter the demanding international markets.

Orhan Nikšić, Zanat, BiH; Salih Teskeredžić, Gazzda, BiH; Irena Kilibarda, Dsignedby, Serbia; Szikszai László, Hungary; Renato Kolar, Obrt Kolar / Bluetag Design, Croatia; Nikola Radeljković, Numen / For Use, who presented the work by the Prostoria Company — “Croatia through the Eyes of a Designer”, shared their stories of creating brands and successful penetration into the Western markets with the audience.

During the discussion, the guests explained how their countries supported them in their entering to the foreign markets, and what political steps would be able to strengthen their presence in the foreign markets. At the same time, they pointed out that such event, as the “Znamke z Roba”, was something they would like to see in their own countries. First of all, they would like to achieve awakening in the society, especially among young people, to spark interest to the wood processing industry.

The event was attended by over 68 representatives of companies, manufacturers, architects and design studios, who welcomed the event and confirmed the importance of the acquired information for their work.
