Summer Design School

As part of the Summer School, which will take place from 22 to 27 August 2016, its participants will get acquainted with the “design thinking” as a special method of creative thinking, which invents new products, services, concepts, and business models. The School will work in five thematic sections related to developing concepts, identity, innovations, and trademarks, which contain both the theoretical part and successful examples from practice. The successful mastering of educational material will be the responsibility of such professionals as the Design Faculty instructors, who have already developed a number of resonance and original design projects. The study time will be perfectly complemented with tours around Ljubljana, where the School participants will discover uncharted paths of Jože Pučnik.

A key point of the Summer School will be to explore the possibilities for developing and creating new products, services and concepts in an innovative environment with an emphasis on sustainable design.

The Summer School is intended for the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students of the Design Faculty as well as for the students of other higher education institutions and all those interested in a qualitatively different approach to design.

The section will work within the premises of the Management and Innovations Design House (Hiše za dizajn management in inovacije, HDMI), in Gerbicheva Street, 51 (Gerbičeva ul., 51), Ljubljana.

The application deadline: 1 August 2016. Registration fee: 122 euros (including 22% VAT).
