The Best Graduates from the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Maribor to Compete for the Green Compass Award
The best graduates from the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Maribor in the 2017/2018 academic year will compete for the Green Compass award. The purpose of this award is to encourage educational, research and other activities of students, which contributes to their professional and personal growth, as well as improves the image of the faculty as an educational and research organisation.
The award will be presented to the best graduate of the faculty, Bachelor or Master, who completed the studies after 1 March 2018, was active on all fronts, helped to promote the faculty and the university, improve their reputation at the local, regional and international levels.
A nominee can be suggested by a mentor, a student council or personally.
Applications from candidates are accepted through 5 March 2019. Then, from 5 to 30 March 2019, the academic commission will review the applications and information from the Student Dean’s Office on the academic performance of candidates and assessments of their theses, on the basis of which it will determine the best graduate. Then (until 30 March 2019), the academic commission will send a reasonable proposal to the Senate of the Faculty regarding the nomination of the Green Compass award winner along with a list of all candidates and all applications. Until 25 April, the Senate of the Faculty will approve the candidacy of the Green Compass award winner.
It should be added that the Dean of the Faculty nominates the selected winner of the Green Compass award for the Maribor University Rector Award.
