The Commodity Exchange Between Slovenia and Serbia Exceeds One Billion Euros for 8 Months of 2018

The commodity exchange between Slovenia and Serbia reached 1,009,201,000 euros for the period from January to August 2018. At the end of 2017, it amounted to 1.34 billion euros.

The main categories of export in 2017 are land vehicles (except for railway or tram rolling stocks), parts and accessories thereof (18% of total export, 150.75 million euros), boilers, equipment and mechanical devices; parts thereof (14%, 118.64 million euros), electrical machinery and equipment, parts thereof; sound recording and reproducing equipment, equipment for recording and reproducing TV image and sound, parts and accessories thereof (12%, 98.9 million euros).

In addition, pharmaceutical products (10% of total export, 81.89 million euros), plastics and plastic goods, rubber, elastic and rubber goods (5%, 43.32 million euros), paper and cardboard; articles of paper pulp, paper or cardboard (3%, 26.72 million euros) were exported from Slovenia to Serbia last year.

The main categories of import in 2017 are boilers, equipment and mechanical devices, parts thereof (17%, 84.48 million euros); aluminium and products thereof (15%, 73.8 million euros); electrical machinery and equipment, parts thereof; sound recording and reproducing equipment, equipment for recording and reproducing TV image and sound, parts and accessories thereof (10%, 51.53 million euros).

In addition, last year, Slovenia imported from Serbia plastics and plastic goods, rubber, elastic and rubber goods (9% of total import, 45.39 million euros), furniture; bedding, mattresses and mattress bases, cushions and similar stuffed furniture accessories; lamps and lighting equipment; illuminated letters, illuminated signs; pre-engineered building systems (6%, 30.2 million euros); as well as footwear, gaiters and similar products, parts thereof (3%, 17.44 million euros).
