The Competition for Employment of the Unemployed Is Extended until 30 December

The Employment Service extended the period of employers registration to participate in the competition for obtaining a state subsidy at the employment of persons aged between 30 and 49 years until the end of 2016. The amount of allocated public funds for this purpose increased from 2.5 to 3 million euros.

The Employment Service announced the beginning of the competition jointly organized with the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities as early as on 18 August. The competition may involve employers from all over Slovenia who employ persons from the target group.

The end of registration was scheduled for 10 October, and now it is extended until 11:00 am on 30 December. “The funds are still available, and we invite employers to cooperate and participate in the competition,” the Employment Service experts said yesterday. The Employment Service expects that 600 unemployed persons will be employed in such a way.

If employers employ persons from the specified target group under full-time conditions, they will receive 5,000 euros of subventions in a single payment, and in the event of a part-time employment, the sum of subventions will be proportionally lower. In this case, the employment contract shall be concluded for a period of not less than one year. During this period, the staff should regularly receive salaries and other bonuses according to the terms of the employment contract and the norms of the current labour legislation.
