The Construction of a Cargo-Partner Logistics Centre Worth 25 Million Euros Starts in Brnik

On Thursday, 30 August 2018, the ceremony of laying the corner stone at the construction site of the new Cargo-Partner logistics centre was held in Brnik (Gorenjska region). The project budget makes 25 million euros. The construction period is 1 year.

The new centre will include 25 thousand m2 of storage and 4 thousand m2 of commercial premises. The staff of the centre will grow from current 104 workers to 130 new employees. Cargo-Partner, owned by Austrian company Multi Transport und Logistik Holding AG, has 3 thousand employees and specializes in sea, air and overland transportations and warehouse logistics.

According to the Director of Cargo-Partner, Viktor Kastelic, in a couple of years, after the opening of the logistics centre, the company plans to generate additional 5 million euros in annual revenue.

Last year, Cargo-Partner made about 34 million euros of revenues and over 300 thousand euros of profit. Its leadership supports the idea of ​​building a railway from Brnik to the Jože Pučnik Airport to improve cargo transportation. Viktor Kastelic also notes that Brnik has a convenient connection with Ljubljana and the Luka Koper Port. Therefore, in the future, it can become the leading transport hub of the country.
