The DOBA Faculty Receives the EOCCS Certificate for the Quality of Online Training

The DOBA Faculty received the EOCCS (Online Course Certification System) certificate for the quality of online learning. The certificate is presented by the leading European Foundation for Management Development EFMD. This document confirms that online training at the DOBA Faculty meets high international standards.

During the procedure for evaluating the EOCCS standards, the international expert commission analyzed four key areas, taking into account 50 criteria. According to this integrated approach, the Faculty was required to meet the high standards of quality in the field of online education, software and subject structure, educational content, pedagogical approaches to online learning, academic achievement, support of student development, communication with the surrounding environment, internationalization, quality assurance and monitoring.

The certificate confirms that online training at the faculty is conducted in accordance with high international standards. For business and academic partners, the DOBA faculty certificate is a guarantee of reliability of the educational institution, which strives to provide the highest quality of online education.

The certificate allows the faculty to be on par with the leading European educational institutions in the field of online training and gives it an advantage over competitors in the region. In particular, it places the DOBA Faculty among such prestigious educational institutions as ESADE, BI Norwegian Business School, Grenoble Ecole de Management, Politecnico di Milano School of Management, The Open University Business School, Henley Business School, ESSCA and others, for which the certificate is an evidence of the education quality.

The DOBA Faculty has been working since 2003 and has been conducting online training since its foundation. This is the first and only higher educational institution in Slovenia conducting comprehensive training on the basis of Internet technologies. Over the years, the faculty has been developing based on five key criteria: commitment to innovation, new knowledge, new technologies, quality and international cooperation. Thus, it brings the latest trends to the educational space of Slovenia.

Today, the faculty has four Bachelor’s and four Master’s degree programmes within the online learning format in four languages. In addition, there is one PhD degree programme in the accreditation process.

In the academic year 2017/2018, 1,039 students from 46 countries were trained at the DOBA Faculty, 98% of them studied online. Since the quality of work of the higher educational institution is measured by the level of knowledge of its graduates and subsequently by their employment statistics, the staff of the DOBA Faculty is particularly proud of a high rate of employment among its graduates. After graduation, 64% of the faculty’s students start successfully their career and continue personal growth.

It should be reminded that the first round of documents submission for enrolment in a DOBA Master’s degree programme comes to the end on 30 June 2018. The second round will last from 16 July to 30 September 2018.
