On 2 – 6 July 2018, the Department for International Cooperation organised and held the Erasmus+ International Staff Training Week at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana.
About 20 representatives from 9 partner universities from 7 countries outside the EU took part in the event. The guests represented Azerbaijan, Belarus, Dominican Republic, South Africa, Georgia, Canada and Russia.
The intensive programme of the event was focused on Erasmus+, internationalization and summer schools. The main goal of Erasmus+ training programme is not only to train, but also to gain new experience, strengthen cooperation between universities and intercultural communication.
It should be recalled that earlier, on 20 June 2018, the Department for International Cooperation of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana held a presentation on the Erasmus+ exchange studies experience at such partner universities as the Stockholm School of Business (Sweden), the Smith School of Business, Queen’s University (Kingston, Canada) and the Nijmegen School of Management, Radboud University (Nijmegen, Holland). During the presentation, the specifics of academic system in these educational institutions, its differences from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana, as well as examples of good practice were described.
