The Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation and Architecture of the University of Maribor Becomes a Member of the Slovenske Konjice Infrastructure Development Project

The Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation and Architecture of the University of Maribor has successfully participated in the project called Integrated Spatial Concepts for the Long-term Development of the Recreational and Tourist Infrastructure of the Slovenske Konjice Municipality. The project partners were Javno komunalno podjetje d.o.o. Slovenske Konjice and said municipality. The project was aimed at enhancement of tourist attractiveness and growth of the municipality and the surrounding area attendance for the local population and tourists.

Having studied the world’s modern tourist and recreational trends and based on the existing infrastructure, a comprehensive software and spatial solution was created. Using pedestrian and bicycle routes, the new software will connect all infrastructure facilities into a single unit to use the potential of the municipality.

An important outcome of the project is the study of contemporary tourist and recreational trends that can contribute to the modern development and expansion of the offer in Slovenske Konjice.
