The Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana Organises the Second Information Day in Skopje
On Thursday, 27 June 2019, the Second Information Day organised by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana for the International Business Academy programme (IBA) and the Business and Organization Master’s degree programme was held at the Design and Innovation Centre in Skopje. The target audience of the event included graduates of Bachelor’s degree programmes from the 2018/2019 academic year and all those who had already begun to build their professional career.
The Dean of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana Prof. Dr Metka Tekavčič, the Regional Coordinator of the aforementioned programmes Melita Sekulovska, the employee of the Southeastern Europe Market Service, Zdenko Rojec, Prof. Dr Miha Škerlavaj, and Master Hristina Lozanovska, as well as graduates of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana from Northern Macedonia and students of the 12th (2018/2019) academic year.
In his speech, the Dean Prof. Dr Metka Tekavčič announced the change of the faculty name in English, noting its high position in international rankings, prestigious accreditations received (EQUIS, AACSB in AMBA), the fact that the faculty is in the top 100 European business schools according to The Times, and the entry of the Master Programme in Business and Organization (IMB) with a similar programme in Skopje into the world’s best Master’s degree management programmes.
In turn, the regional coordinator Melita Sekulovska and the employee of the Southeast Europe Market Service Zdenko Rojec presented in detail the specifics of teaching these programmes. The presentation was followed by the lecture of Prof. Dr Miha Škerlavaj based on the article “What We Can Learn about Marvel’s Ongoing Innovations, which was published in the Harvard Business Review.
In the second part of the event, Master Hristina Lozanovska gave a lecture called – Are You a Leader That You Would Follow? In her presentation, she shared her own leadership experience and presented various examples of how to build a management system.
