The Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Informatics of the University of Maribor Uses a Special Device for Printing, Copying and Scanning Documents

Since the beginning of December 2018, Printbox, a vending device for printing, copying and scanning documents, has been used at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Informatics of the University of Maribor. It was fully designed and manufactured in Slovenia. Printbox allows students to quickly and conveniently scan and print documents, saving time and money.

The intensive period of device development lasted two years – from 2010 to 2012. In May 2012, the Printbox team proudly unveiled a new product on the market. The task of the developers was to provide the general public with a simple, fast and convenient solution for printing, copying and scanning documents in crowded places (libraries, educational institutions, shopping centres, gas stations, etc.)

Printbox is an environmentally friendly product, which has no harmful household waste (for example, empty printer cartridges and Xerox tuners). The device uses the quality 80 g/m2 paper made from environmentally friendly wood. The device can be used by many people, which allows replacing standard printers and copiers and reducing power consumption.

Its use is quite simple – you need to register for free on the printbox.net website or on one of the Printbox devices and upload files to your account using a phone, a laptop, a tablet or a USB flash drive. All personal files are protected in Printbox. They can be accessed at 100 addresses throughout Slovenia. In particular, Printbox is installed near the Alpha and Beta lecture halls at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Informatics of the University of Maribor.
