The Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Maribor Holds the Eighth Electric Bicycle Competition

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Informatics of the University of Maribor holds the eighth pupil and student competition for the manufacture of electric bicycles. The competition will be held on 16–22 September 2019 in the framework of the European Mobility Week. The purpose of the competition is to increase the interest of young people in technology, strengthen cooperation at the state and interstate levels and present new technological solutions for all-wheel drive electric bicycles.

Participation in the competition will allow young people to complement their training with a practical project that provides for a detailed introduction to the product development process.

At the stage of designing and manufacturing of an electric bike, teams can contact the manufacturers/suppliers of components for the modernization of bicycles, while at the final stage, teams should present their products.

The competition will be attended by teams of 2–5 people. There are two competitive categories: the highway and the open categories. Each team member will receive a certificate.

Applications for participation are accepted until 30 April 2019 at e-bikes@um.si.

The competition terms and conditions are published on the website. Additional information: e-bikes@um.si, 02 220 7053.
