The Manager of Riko Becomes the Manager of the Year 2017 in Slovenia

For 21 years of his company operation on the market, Janez Škrabec has managed to turn it into one of the leading engineering companies of the country with a staff of 108 people. In 2016, sales revenue in Riko amounted to 117 million euros and net profit reached 7 million euros. Return on equity of the company is 24.4%. The added value per employee is 144 thousand euros. This is one of the highest indicators among Slovenian companies.

Representatives of Združenje Manager, who distinguished Škrabec as the best leader at the Congress of Managers, also highly praised his activities and investment in the preservation of local traditions, attitude to nature and culture, as well as to employees.

“The company is focused both on the creation of resonant projects with high added value and on investments in socially significant projects,” the representatives of Združenje Manager commented on their choice.

Janez Škrabec ‘wrote’ his story of success with the Riko Hiše Company as well, which produces and sells solid wood bio-houses. It employs 65 people. In 2016, the Company’s revenues increased by one-fifth to 8 million euros, and net profit amounted to 0.5 million euros.

Škrabec already received a number of prestigious awards in the world of business. He is also an Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Belarus as well as the president of the Slovenian Consulate Club.

In February 2017, Riko signed an investment project with the Orel Region (Russia) for 400 million roubles. It is planned that the Slovenian company will build a shoe factory, a tannery, a meat processing plant and a deep grain processing plant in the region.
