The Maribor University Publishing House Releases a Monograph on the Basics of the Italian Language for Workers in Tourism Industry

The Maribor University Publishing House has released a monograph written by an employee of the Faculty of Tourism, Assoc. Prof. Dr Mojce Kompare Lukančič on the Basics of the Italian Language for Workers in Tourism Industry (in Italian: NOZIONI DI BASE DELLA LINGUA ITALIANA PER IL SETTORE DEL TURISMO).

The scientific monograph on the Basics of the Italian Language for Workers in Tourism Industry is an excellent basis for all tourism workers who face with the Italian language. The book consists of 23 chapters, in which the author reveals the basics of the theory, including sounds, letters, nouns, gender, perfective and imperfective forms of the verb, adjectives, pronouns, tenses (present, past and future), as well as the nuances of the practical use of Italian language in the field of tourism, with the content, in the narrow and broad sense associated with the profession of a travel agent.

The monograph is intended for students of all three study programmes of the Faculty of Tourism at the University of Maribor learning Italian as a selective course.

The reader receives the opportunity to comprehensively study the basics of communication with Italian tourists. The topics considered by the author are not limited to the tourism sphere and include cultural and interdisciplinary context.
