The Minimum Salary in Slovenia Is One of the Highest in the EU

The minimum salary in Slovenia, taking into account the GDP and the average salary in the country, is one of the highest in the European Union. At present, it is 804.96 EUR gross and 613.66 EUR net.

A higher minimum salary in the EU is paid out only in Luxembourg, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, France and Spain. In 2016, two EU countries (Malta and the Czech Republic), despite the high per capita GDP, had a lower minimum salary than in Slovenia.

According to the OECD data, as of January 2017, the minimum salary in the country was one of the highest in the world (after Colombia, Costa Rica, New Zealand and France).
