The Museum of Architecture and Design Invites to the Exhibition “Stanko Kristl, Architect. Humanism and Space”

The Museum of Architecture and Design (Fužine Castle) holds the exhibition “Stanko Kristl, Architect. Humanism and Space.” This exhibition is a continuation of a series of monographic exhibitions of the Museum of Architecture and Design in honour of the famous Slovenian architects and designers of the 20th century, and is dedicated to the teacher, scientist, innovator, humanist, academician Stanko Kristl, whose works are part of the national collection of architectural heritage. In particular, he is the author of the building of the University Clinical Centre in Ljubljana, the Mladi rod kindergarten and the France Prešeren basic school in Kranj.

Curators of the exhibition Tadej Glažar, Tine Gregorič and Maja Vardjan represent the rich creative heritage of the architect. The exhibition consists of 4 thematic blocks: Life, Study, Health and Memory. It is based on a long-term study of Stanko Kristl’s personal archive, as well as on additional materials and conversations with the architect. Original plans and drawings from his archive are supplemented with a series of exhibits specially designed for the exhibition, diagrams and large-format colour photographs.

The work of the exhibition will last until 30 September 2018. Entrance fee: 3 EUR. Read more:
