The National Scholarship for Women in Science 2017

The L’Oreal Slovenija and the Slovenian National UNESCO Commission allocate scholarships under the national “For Women in Science” program (“Za ženske v znanosti”) for the year 2017. Three young Slovenian women researchers will receive scholarships for a period of 1 year in the amount of 5,000 euros. To be qualified, candidates must register through 11 November 2016.

Conditions for Obtaining Scholarships

The scholarships are intended to support research projects conducted by women scientists in the field of natural sciences, medicine and biotechnology. The program participants must study or work in educational institutions in Slovenia. Each application shall be accompanied by a recommendation from the head of an educational institution or from her research advisor. The applicants should pass through the final stage of preparing their doctoral theses, not be older than 35 years, be citizens of Slovenia and permanently reside in this country. An expert committee consisting of the Competition Commission and the National Jury will assess the scholarship applications with a package of accompanying documents.

Procedure for assessment

The Competition Commission will consider applications and will select the shortlist of the best applications, and the National Jury will make the final decision on the future of the applicants.
