The European Congress of Mathematics is the second biggest event after the World Congress. It is held every four years and is attended by about 1,000 scientists-mathematicians.
Thus, the Congress will be held from 5 to 11 July 2020 in Portorož. Prof. Dr. Tomaž Pisanski was elected as the Chairman of the Organizing Committee.
Prof. Dr. Dragan Marušič said, “This is a great success of the Slovenian mathematics and science in general, because Slovenia has not yet hosted the events of such level. From now on, the Slovenian science is even more open to the world.
In the next four years, we will face a unique opportunity of advertising Slovenia and its science within the Europe and worldwide.”
