The Quality of Coastal Waters at All Official Beaches in Slovenia Meets the Established Standards

For many years, Slovenia can be proud of the high quality of coastal waters. The first results of the coastal water quality tests taken at all official beaches confirm that the local water is very clean and complies with the recommendations of the National Institute of Public Health.

There are 21 beaches on the Adriatic coast (the Obalno Kraška region). Another 27 riverside beaches operate in different regions of the country. At the height of the holiday season, water samples are taken every 14 days. The test results are published on the website of the Environmental Protection Agency.
