Brussels — The European Commission has used a Maintenance Support Package (MSP) to allocated 73 million euros to the 50 selected European small and medium enterprises for the purposes of promoting their products on the market. Such Slovenian companies as GoOpti Podpora and Elaphe are also among the recipients.

The 47 selected companies will be able to receive up to 2.5 million euros of aids, while the health care projects will be eligible for obtaining five million euros of financial support.

The most successful were the Spanish small and medium enterprises, as the 14 companies from this country will receive 15.4 million euros. The next lucky one is Germany with 8 companies and 14.8 million euros.

The majority of the funded projects (9) represent the sphere of ICT (information and communication technology), which is followed by the sphere of transport — seven projects, as well as by the sphere of energy efficiency and sustainable food production (6 projects).

553 projects involving 689 participants competed for the right to receive financial support.

Since the beginning of the program (1 January 2014), 406 small and medium enterprises have been selected to receive a Maintenance Support Package, including ten Slovenian companies.

The main objective of this project is to assist in marketing products produced by the enterprises at the initial stage of their business activity. The project is funded under the EU Target Programme for Research and Innovation “Horizon 2020” (in Slovenian — Obzorje 2020).
