The Slovenian Tourist Board Opens an Official Representative Office in Russia
Experts note the strengthening of Slovenian tourism destinations within the Russian market. Thus, AVIAREPS has been appointed as the official PR representative of the Slovenian Tourist Board in Russia. AVIAREPS will provide representative services in the field of public relations. The company plans to actively promote the opportunities of Slovenia as a tourist destination in the mass and social media. “Slovenia is an attractive tourist destination for Russian tourists. In 2017, the tourist flow from Russia to Slovenia amounted to 51,819 people, which is 33% higher than the results of 2016. Direct flights from Russia to Slovenia are carried out daily by the national air carrier of Slovenia, Adria Airways,” the message says.
Slovenia is famous for its natural heritage, the Julian Alps, one of the world’s three best regions, according to Lonely Planet, recommended for visiting in 2018; the Pannonian Plain (Karst Plateau), where one of the most beautiful caves on the planet is located; the capital of Ljubljana, which in 2016 received the title of The Green Capital of Europe.
Slovenia is called one of the main European resorts. It is not surprising that more than 70% of travellers from Russia choose a vacation at the spa resorts and the coastline of Slovenia as a destination for travelling. Slovenia features some of the best natural spa resorts and thermal springs in Europe. “Launching of the official representative office of the Slovenian Tourist Board in Russia is a long-awaited and right decision. Slovenia as a tourism destination constantly evokes a stable interest in our tourists. Of course, the most demanded in Slovenia are the therapeutic tours with an average duration of 12–14 days, but in spring and summer, tourists are also increasingly preferring to rest on the Adriatic coast,” the head manager of Renee Tours, Olga Shevchenko, stressed the importance of opening the new tourist office.
