The Statistics Service Reports that the Revenues from Selling Slovenian Industry Products for 2015 Exceeded 20 Billion Euros
According to the Statistics Service specialists, in 2015, the industrial enterprises in Slovenia sold products and services approximately for 20.1 billion euros. It is almost 4% more than in 2014.
Ljubljana. The manufacturing industry featured the major increase in the cost of sales within the sphere of wood processing and recycling, wood products manufacturing, etc. The cost of products and services provided by the industrial enterprises in Slovenia amounted to 0.4% of the industrial products and services cost throughout the EU. More than 73% of all proceeds from sales were received in foreign markets. Almost all of the proceeds from the sale of products and services were generated within the manufacturing industry (99.4%).
The Central Slovenia is the most successful region
According to the results of the year 2015, the leader for selling industrial products and services is the Central Slovenia region that generated almost 19% of all proceeds from the sales of industrial products and services in the country. It is followed by the South-East Slovenia (a little over 17%), the Savinska region (about 15%) and the Podravskij statistical region (almost 14%).
In the processing industry, the largest share of revenue from selling goods and services, the same as in the previous two years, belongs to the sphere of electrical equipment manufacture (over 12%). The second indicator of profitability relates to the sphere of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers manufacture (also more than 12%), which was the most successful industry in 2012.
In 2015, the whole EU market, as compared to the Slovenian market, showed somewhat different results. The largest share of revenue from the sale of industrial products and services belongs to the manufacture of food products (14%), followed by the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (almost 14%), the manufacture of other machinery and equipment (almost 10%), and the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (over 8%). The above industries had approximately similar shares in 2013–2014.
The largest share of profits accounts for the production of foodstuffs in the domestic market and for the motorcar construction in foreign markets.
Among the processing industry branches in the domestic market, the highest share of revenue from the sales of products and services is demonstrated by the food production (over 21%), followed by iron and steel production: except for machinery and equipment (almost 12%) and the manufacture of electrical equipment (10%). In foreign markets, the most successful branch of the processing industry was the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (in this sphere, about 15% of proceeds were generated from the sales of industrial products and services), followed by the manufacture of electrical equipment (more than 13%) and manufacture of basic metals (almost 11%).
Germany offers the widest range of industrial products and services
In 2015, all EU members in total sold about 5,026 billion units of industrial products and services. This is by 0.8% less than in 2014. According to the number of different products manufactured by each individual Member State, the first place belongs to Germany, which manufactured and sold 93% of all products included into the Nomenclature of Industrial Products (NIP). France, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom follow Germany. Slovenia, the same as in 2014, takes the 18th place.
