The Students-Architects Venerate Traditions of Jože Plečnik

The Faculty of Architecture calls the public’s attention to the exhibition of students’ works on the profile “Design” subject, which is held as part of the workshop.

The opening ceremony took place on Thursday, 2 June 2016. The Minister of Education, Science and Sports, Maja Makovec Brenčič, the Rector of the University of Ljubljana, Prof. Dr. Ivan Svetlik, and the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Prof. Master Petr Gabrijelčič, attended this exhibition. At the exhibition opening, Petr Gabrijelčič said — “The Faculty of Architecture of the University of Ljubljana adheres to the principles of the Jože Plečnik School, the basic pedagogical principle of which is the architects’ seminar work as a stimulation of studio work. The students of different courses under the guidance of the respected international educators and architects create numerous urban projects, are principally engaged in the socially important though almost forgotten projects. During the implementation of such projects, students form their ethical position, bearing in mind that there are no big or small projects, more important or less important ones. All projects are designed to meet the public demand.”

Free admission. The exhibition runs until the end of June 2016.

Студенти - архітектори шанують традицію

According to the Dean Prof. Master Petr Gabrijelčič, a rich exhibition is a chance for the entire Slovenian society, including the political and economic establishment and ordinary citizens, to find a possibility of accomplishing their own needs.
