The Tchaikovsky. PRO et CONTRA Ballet Performed by the St. Petersburg State Academic Ballet Theatre of Boris Eifman Is Held in Ljubljana
The ballet performance “Tchaikovsky. Pro et Contra” performed by artists of the St. Petersburg State Academic Ballet Theatre under the direction of the world-famous choreographer Boris Eifman is held in the Cankar Culture Centre in Ljubljana on Tuesday and Wednesday, 21 and 22 August 2018, at 8:00 p.m.
The performance is shown in the framework of the 66th Ljubljana Festival. This performance is the result of many years of choreographer’s reflections on the personal and creative world of Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
It should be noted that Boris Eifman previously put to Tchaikovsky music such ballet performances as “Idiot” (1980), “Red Giselle” (1998), “Anna Karenina” (2005) and “Eugene Onegin” (2009). Boris Eifman has become world famous for his ballet “Tchaikovsky” (1993). The premiere of the current performance took place on 22 July 2016, on the eve of the 70th anniversary of Boris Eifman.
