The University of Ljubljana Is One Hundred Positions Higher in the Global University Ranking

The University of Ljubljana has risen by 97 positions in the largest Centre for World University Rankings (CWUR) and ranks 370th among more than 18 thousand universities in the world. It should be noted that last year, the University of Ljubljana occupied the 467th place in CWUR.

The ranking evaluates the quality of education and training of students, the reputation of structural divisions of the faculties and the quality of their research. CWUR is based on seven objective realistic criteria without taking into account research and data proposed by universities:

  1. Quality education.
  2. Employment of graduates.
  3. Quality of work of the professorial teaching staff.
  4. Research results.
  5. Publications.
  6. Level of scientific research.
  7. Citation index.

Besides the CWUR ranking, the University of Ljubljana is also represented in three other authoritative world rankings. Thus, it has been ranked between 401 and 500 positions in the Shanghai ranking (ARWU) for several years in a row. In the Times Higher Education Ranking (THE), the leading Slovenian university occupies places between 601 and 800, and in the QS World University Rankings, it is ranked between 651 and 700.
