The University of Maribor Awards Winners of the University Sports League

Within the framework of the “Week of Health ” event, the University of Maribor hosted the final tournament of the University Sports League and held the awarding ceremony. At the same time, the best athletes in specific categories and the top scorer of the Collegium Football League were awarded.

Competitions were held from early November 2017 in the following categories: football (Collegium Football League, men’s standings), basketball (men’s standings), and volleyball. The competition was attended by 37 teams representing 11 faculties of the University of Maribor.

The best teams and athletes of the season 2017/2018 were named:

Collegium Football League

1st place: Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Informatics

2nd place: Faculty of Security Sciences

3rd place: Faculty of Medicine

Basketball

1st place: Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

2nd place: Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies

3rd place: Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Informatics

It should be noted that the Week of Health was held at the University of Maribor from 9 to 13 April. Its goal was to emphasize the importance of active leisure and to strengthen the desire for a healthy way of life among students.
