The University of Maribor welcomes the decision of the Governmental Department for Development and European Cohesion Policy on financial supporting of the project on Modernization of National Research Infrastructure Facilities (HPC RIVR). As part of this project, a supercomputer centre will be launched, which will provide high-tech opportunities for research and innovation.
The project’s lead partner is the University of Maribor. Its project partners are the Institute of Information Sciences (IZUM) and the Faculty of Information Sciences in Novo Mesto (FIŠ).
The total amount of funds provided for the project is 20 million euros. In particular, 16 million euros of this sum will be allocated by the European Regional Development Fund.
