The University of Maribor Received Funding for the Labour Market Projects for the Total Amount of Nearly 1.3 Million Euros

The Ministry of Education, Science and Sport will fund 9 projects of the state program for the optimization and development of Career Centres of the Slovenia’s higher education institutions in 2015–2020 totalling to 4.7 million euros.

Until 2020, the University of Maribor, will receive funding of approximately 1.3 million euros to support and optimize the activities of the Career Centre.

The main duties of the University of Maribor’s Career Centre are to provide a comprehensive support for the university students and graduates throughout the learning process. The Centre employees help students start a professional career after graduation, strengthen cooperation with employers and study the changes in the labour market. The employment rate among the university graduates and their soonest adaptation at the labour market are of major importance. The Career Centre of the University of Maribor is open to the exchange of experience and holds regular consultations on employment issues at the national and international levels.
