The University of Maribor to Host the Third Autumn School for Blockchain Applications and Development of Decentralized Solutions

On 17-20 September 2019, the Blockchain Lab:UM Group from the Institute of Informatics of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Informatics at the University of Maribor organizes the Third Autumn School for Blockchain Applications and Development of Decentralized Solutions.

School sponsors are the Cluster of Eco-Social Innovation and Development – CEDRA Split and Eupolis Grupa d.o.o., Croatia. The school is sponsored by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology.

During the School operation, students will become familiar with blockchain technologies, learn how to develop smart contracts and decentralized applications, as well as Android mobile applications using the Kotlin programming language.

The second part of the Autumn School will be held in the form of a competition with the support of mentors. Students will do practical assignments proposed by the school sponsor. The winner will receive 1,000 EUR in Bitcoin. The reward will be paid to the best team recognized as such by the decision of an expert commission consisting of four persons.

Applications for participation are accepted until Thursday, 12 September 2019, until 11:59 p.m. Since the number of seats is limited, the organizer reserves the right to select candidates (a total of 15 participants will be selected). The selection results will be announced on Friday, 13 September 2019.
