Starting from Monday, 2 July 2018, a 5-day open learning course has been held in the Lanthieri Mansion in Vipava, which will take place until Friday, 6 July 2018.
The organizers of the course are the University of Nova Gorica and the UNESCO Chair on Open Technologies for Open Educational Resources and Open Learning, which is a member of the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana.
The course is attended by 50 people: teachers and listeners from 17 countries (Slovenia, Brazil, Fiji, France, Greece, India, Italy, South Africa, Canada, Kenya, Macedonia, Malaysia, Malta, Germany, Uzbekistan, UK, and the USA).
During the course, its participants will get acquainted with the processes, methods and tools of open education; will receive basic knowledge, practical advice and experience that will be useful to them when using open educational resources and preparing their own teaching and methodological materials; learn how to combine open education with strategic goals and how to plan development with its help. They will also receive key knowledge about the concepts of open education, pedagogical and didactic questions and issues related to the content of public education from respected professionals and practitioners. The course also contains a practical part.
