The Volume of Exports in Slovenia in July Amounts to 2.334 Billion Euros

As compared to the last year’s figures, it grew by almost 13%. Imports of goods and services amounted to 2 billion 219 million euros, making an increase of 11.8%. The surplus of foreign trade reached 115.1 million euros.

According to the Statistics Service, the value of exports in July, as compared to the last year’s average monthly cost, increased by 12.2%. The cost of imports is 10.4%. In July this year, the export-import coverage ratio amounted to 105.2%.

In July, Slovenia exported goods and services to the EU countries amounting to 1.792 billion euros (15.1% more than in 2016). The value of imported goods reached 1.758 billion euros (11.3% more than last year). In July this year, the country created a surplus of 33.7 million euros in trade with the EU countries. This is the highest monthly average since January 2016.

In non-EU countries, Slovenia exported goods and services worth 542.5 million euros (6.2% more than in the same period in 2016). Imports amounted to 461.1 million euros (13.6% more than in the same period last year). The surplus in commodity exchange reached 81.4 million euros, but was lower than the same average monthly indicator for the first half of the year.

In just 7 months of 2017, the country exported goods and services worth 16.254 billion euros and imported goods for a total of 15.758 billion euros. In general, exports increased by 11.7% and imports by 13.7% for the specified period. The surplus of foreign trade in this period amounted to 495.9 million euros, and the export-import coverage ratio reached 103.1%.
