Tržiške Bržole—Stewed Lamb or Mutton with Vegetables and Potato


  1. 3 kg lamb (mutton),
  2. 4 onions,
  3. 4 cloves of garlic,
  4. 2 kg potato,
  5. 20 g wine,
  6. red pepper, salt, savoury, flour, juniper berries,
  7. 2 tbsp fat.


Fry onion on fat, add meat, sprinkle with flour, mix thoroughly and pour with broth or water. Add spices. Cook until meat is ready. When it is soft, add diced potato.

When vegetables are cooked, salt to taste and pour the wine.
