Turkish Company Ekol Logistics Starts Working in Slovenia
Ekol Slovenija, a subsidiary of one of the largest logistics companies in Europe Ekol Logistics with the headquarters located in Turkey, starts working in Slovenia.
Ekol Slovenija was established in March 2017 and will start its regular operation in 1–2 months. The company specializes in international and domestic land cargo transportation (general/complex, partial and groupage). According to STA, the Company’s warehouse will be located in the suburb of Ljubljana. The Director of Ekol Slovenija Miha Ulčar says that the Company’s staff will include 15 workers before the end of 2018.
In the future, Ekol Slovenija will enter the European market of full-fledged and intermodal transportations. “The appearance of a new promising and ambitious company in the Slovenian market is certainly a positive signal to our economy,” Miha Ulčar emphasizes.
The Turkish company Ekol Logistics operates throughout Europe and in the Middle East countries. Its staff is 6,500 people. Its fleet comprises over 5,500 different types of vehicles. In 2013, a subsidiary company was established in Hungary, a year later — in Spain, and in 2015 — in Poland. In 2016, Ekol Logistics opened its representative offices in the Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Iran. Today the Company operates in 15 countries. In the coming years, this figure could grow to 40 countries. The Company plans to expand its network of offices in Europe, Asia, USA and China.
