Ukraine Resumes Flight Connection with Slovenia
From 27 July, the Ukrainian airline “Dnipravia” will start regular flights on the route Kiev-Ljubljana three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. From Kiev, the flight Z6 563 will depart at 2:40 p.m., from Ljubljana — at 5:00 p.m. The flight time makes 2.5 hours. The flights will be performed on the Embraer 145 aircraft.
Thus, the air carrier will resume direct flights between Ukraine and Slovenia, discontinued in 2012, when the Slovenian company Adria Airways suspended flights from Ljubljana to Kiev. In 2016, the airline negotiated with Ukrainian airports on the resumption of flights.
The international Jože Pučnik Airport (Ljubljana) is the air gateway of Slovenia. In 2016, it received 1.4 million passengers. Since 2014, it belongs to the German Fraport Group. Two other Slovenian airports of Maribor and Portorož serve charter flights or business flights.
