Benjamin Clementine

A concert of the winner of Mercury Prize and Grammy prestigious awards. He grew up in London in a family of poor emigrants from Ghana. At the age of 19, he fled to Paris, where he sang in subway passages and slept on the streets. There he was noticed by producers. Later, the first EP and TV air followed.

In the subway, he sang Bob Marley in his own way and played the guitar. In the concert hall, he will set Hendrix’s classic compositions to the piano — in his own way, but in the manner of the musician.

Entrance fee: 29 euros (advance sale), 35 euros (on the event day).

Princess Nokia + DOLL

On 6 September at 8:00 p.m.

Organizer: Centre of Urban Culture Kino Šiška.

Venue: Centre of Urban Culture Kino Šiška, Square at Prekomorskih Brigad 3, Ljubljana.

Concert of the New York urban band Princess Nokia and the Slovenian pop group DOLL.

Entrance fee: 12 euros (advance sale), 14 euros (on the event day).

Week of Russian Cinema

From 7 to 13 September.

Venue: Kino Gledališče Bežigrad, Linhartova 11, Ljubljana.

The festival will feature the following films: “No Comments”, “Once Upon a Time”, “Love and Sax”, “Anna Karenina: The History of Vronsky” and others.

Dance Amore (Zapleši ljubezen!)

On 8 September at 8:00 p.m.

Organizer: Cankar Centre.

Venue: Cankar Centre, Gallus Hall, Ljubljana.

A dancing drama performance with famous Slovenian dancers.

Entrance fee: from 22.9 euros.

Frivolus Festival Uličnih Umetnikov

On 9 September at 10:00 a.m.

Organizer: Student organization of the University of Primorska, 05 662 62 20.

Venue: Tito Square, Prešeren Square, Gortan Square, Koper.

Jugglers, acrobats, illusionists, actors, musicians, street artists and others will perform on the streets of Koper.

Free admission.

Hrastov Memorial – International Mountain Race of Vintage Cars

On 10 September at 10:00 a.m.

Organizer: Tržič Automobile Association, 040 196 994.

Venue: Tržič, Loibl (Ljubelj) Pass.

The first race through the Loibl Pass was held in 1926. The competition was established in 1953. The length of the route is 2,300 m.

Competitors will ride on a dirt road on vintage motorcycles, motorcycles with a sidecar and retro cars.

Entrance fee: 5 euros. Admission is free for children under 14.

Jesenske serenade – Če glasba hrana je ljubezni
