Človek, ki je gledal svet (A Man Who Saw the World)

An original performance, staged by the artists of the Slovenian Youth Theatre, dedicated to the End of the World (Apocalypse) issue. In 2017, the performance received the Borštnik Ring Award. Staged by Žiga Divjak.

Admission fee: 15.5 EUR (9.5 EUR for schoolchildren, students, and pensioners).

A stand-up performance (one-man humorous production).

ELVIS Presley’s 83rd Birthday Party

On 17 January at 8:00 p.m.

Organiser: Glasbena agencija GIG.

Venue: Cvetličarna, Ljubljana.

A rock concert devoted to the 83rd birthday anniversary of the Rock and Roll King Elvis Presley. The programme involves Sam’s Fever, The Imperials, Dennis Jale and TCB band (the band includes musicians who accompanied Elvis Presley at his concerts in 1969–1977: James Burton, Glen Hardin and Ronnie Tatt).

The event will feature the famous hits of Elvis Presley, such as Love Me Tender, Suspicious Minds, In the Ghetto, Always on My Mind, Are You Lonesome Tonight, It’s Now or Never, Heartbreak Hotel, Blue Suede Shoes, I Can’t Stop Loving You.

Entrance fee: 20–21.9 EUR.

Senad Osmanaj: Moja Afrika

Organiser: Vetrinjski dvor.

Venue: Vetrinjski dvor, večnamenska dvorana, Maribor.

A charitable local lore lecture-excursion devoted to the culture of the peoples of Africa.

Entrance fee: voluntary contribution (2 EUR is recommended, 1 EUR for students).

Sen kresne noči

On 19 January at 5:00 p.m.

Organiser: Cankar Centre

Venue: Cankar Centre, Linhartova dvorana, Ljubljana.

A musical about the youth, its passions and temptations, mixed feelings and relativity of love, performed by the members of the English Student Theatre. The performance is based on the famous comedy by William Shakespeare “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Staged by Matjaž Latin.

Moški so z Marsa, ženske so z Venere (Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus)

Organiser: Špas Theatre.

Venue: The Culture House, Mengeš.

A comedy (one-man production). Actor: Denis Avdić. Staged by Gašper Tič.

Pravljica za odrasle: Sedmoglava zver (A Fairy-tale for Adults: The Seven-headed Beast)

Venue: Grajsko gledališče, Ljubljanski grad, Grajska planota 1, Ljubljana.

A production of the Corsican folk tale “The Seven-headed Beast”. Cast: Luka Hrovat, Mirjam Slanovec.

International Snow Day, World Cup in Cross-country Skiing, European Cup in Ski Jumping (Women), FIS Continental Cup in Ski Jumping (Men)

On 20 January at 9:00 a.m.

Organiser: OK Planica.

Venue: Nordijski center Planica.

Sports events in the Planica Centre for Winter Sports and Recreation. Planica will in paralle feature sports and entertainment events for children. Skates, skis, helmets and trainer support are provided for free.
